On A Crab Kick
After craving those spring rolls last night, I couldn’t help but think of crab all day today. So here are a couple videos. Yum.
Now that you’ve cooked it, you gotta eat it.

Craving California Rolls
How funny is this? I was looking for a real good California Spring Roll recipe and remembered seeing one somewhere but I couldn’t remember where. So I went to imcooked.com to see if it was there that I saw this delicious recipe I made one time.
Sure enough it was there. This is my favorite spring roll recipe, and it features my favorite Internet Chef. How could I forget?
Of course, I would use real crabmeat. Go figure.

I love cookies. We spent the afternoon today baking some. I got so tired I wished I had just sat down and ordered some online.
Some will argue that homemade are so much better, but depending on where you get them I might have to disagree. If you get them from the right place there is nothing better than a box of chocolate chip cookies being delivered to your front door.
The wife loves cheesecake and the kids are partial to brownies, something like a Cookie of the Month would be awesome for us. Of course we’d have to start working out or something to make up for all the goodies.

As you know by now, we do a lot of cooking around here. I love to tinker with new recipes, and the wife loves baking. There is nothing better than waking up to the smell of fresh baked bread.
We haven’t had any “store-bought” bread in the house since we went to the restaurant supply store and bought the bread loaf pans that she has wanted for an eternity. I love looking at professional cookware too. If I had some extra money I would replace everything in our kitchen with brand new, shiny cookware.
The next purchase I want for the kitchen is a meat slicer. I had one a long time ago and I would love to have another one. I just have to find the right one when I am looking at restaurant supplies, then I will be all set. For a while at least.
Now to find the next great recipe.

You’d think being out of work would afford me a lot of time to cook. Not. Tonight I am craving ribs.
I’ll cook something soon. I just don’t have ribs right now.

Last night, we knew we wanted chicken for dinner, so we took it out before we left the house for the day.
When we got home, I seasoned it with olive oil, garlic, poultry seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Then I threw it in the oven.
I have to say, it was quite delicious and wasn’t any work at all.

Needless to say, we didn’t have any leftovers either.

I am suffering from MCD. No not McDonalds, although if I did eat that, I might be suffering.
Right now I have multiple craving disorder. I am in the mood to cook, but I can’t decide what to make.
For now, you’ll have to settle with a video from Chef John. He doesn’t know it yet, but he’s my go-to guy when my MCD flares up.
If you were too busy drooling over the recipe, you can head on over to Food Wishes to grab that ingredient list. You can also replay the video again, but doing so may cause an episode of MCD you cannot control.

No, I am not making French Onion soup tonight. In fact, tonight we are having chili. Later today we are making homemade flour tortillas and tomorrow we plan to make perogies.
Who knows, I may even make a recipe video later this week.

One of my favorite dishes is beef tenderloin. Yes, you can blame me for some of that global warming caused by my craving for red meat. Here’s a video I found, that looks delicious.

A few months ago I decided to stop blogging at this domain. I was in a food rut, and felt that it would be better to fold all of my recipes into my main blog. In the past couple weeks I have realized that I miss posting about food. So… I’m back.
I may be missing a few food posts between August and December, but what the heck, I’m back.
